Brandon Berry is not only an accomplished designer but also an experienced carpenter—a rare find—who designed and built his own home in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont eight years ago. Originally from Florida, he explores the mountains of Vermont on its hiking trails and ski slopes, loves to bake, play basketball and chill on the back porch in the evening cooking good food with friends. His passion for architecture and finding that “aha” moment when a design finds balance between function and beauty, keeps him hard at work on his laptop at the local coffee shop, when he’s not playing outside.

David Koschak graduated with an M. Arch from the University of Oregon in 2003 and has over 20 years of experience as a designer. Hailing from rural Pennsylvania, he began his career working on academic projects with the nationally recognized firm BCJ before moving to Vermont in 2012. While in Vermont, David worked with gbA Architecture in Montpelier, as well as several other New England firms, before starting his own business in 2023. His first completed solo residential project won Best of the Best from Efficiency Vermont in 2025. When he’s not designing and meeting with clients on their home projects or working on his own projects around his 1830s farmhouse, he enjoys hiking, gravel biking, and nordic skiing in the hills around his home. He lives in Craftsbury, VT with his 11-year-old son Sam and their awesome dog, Wolfie, and similarly awesome cat, Wendell.
